Sealpath allows editing of protected PDF documents using tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Foxit Phantom or any other PDF editor that supports DRM. If the user who is openning the PDF was given permission to edit PDFs, when he opens the protected document, he will see a "protection shell". This "protection shell" indicates that the PDF document is protected:
When the user opens the attachment by clicking on the "pin" , the user will see the protected document in Adobe Acrobat, etc. and he will be able to edit it and do any changes. When the user saves the changes, the document will be stored back into the "protection shell" keeping the protection properties established when the document was protected.
If the user has not any PDF editing tool, it's possible to annotate and do changes in the document using tools like Adobe Reader, Foxit Reader, Nitro PDF and Nuance PDF.
When the user saves the PDF, it will be saved within the "protection shell" with the annotations that have been made, and keeping the protection properties established when the document was protected..
