These are the available SealPath solution types and the related user types for each one:

SealPath Enterprise [Cloud/SaaS and On-Premise]

Recommended for...

Companies that want to keep their confidential information protected wherever it is, no matter if it the information is shared internally or externally with other people outside the corporation.

User types in SealPath Enterprise

In SealPath Enterprise, there are the following types of users:

  • Administrator: Manages the Solution through the web control panel of SealPath Enterprise. The administrator provisions users, access to stats, transfer permissions between users. It is also possible to have delegated administrators.
  • Users that protect documents: They are internal users of the company that acquired SealPath Enterprise. They use SealPath Desktop to protect the documents before sharing them.
  • Users that access to the documents: They are internal or external users that access to protected documents through Microsoft Office or SealPath Lite (PDF, images, etc.).

 

SealPath Professional [Cloud/SaaS]

Recommended for...

Independent professional users that want to keep their documents protected and under control wherever they are. SealPath Professional is offered in Cloud/SaaS mode, so it is only necessary to install the end-user applications.

User types in SealPath Professional

SealPath Professional is a solution for independent users, not corporations or corporate teams:

  • User who protects documents: User that has acquired SealPath Professional and uses SealPath Desktop to protect documents before sharing them.
  • Users that consume protected documents: Users that access to the protected documents shared by the user that has acquired SealPath Professional. These users access to the protected documents through Microsoft Office or SealPath Lite (PDF, images, etc.) once they have signed up with SealPath for Protected Documents Recipients.

 

SealPath Free – Protected Documents Recipients [Cloud/SaaS]

Recommended for...

Users that have received a protected document from other user and need to open it but don´t have a license/subscription from SealPath.

User types in SealPath Free – Protected Documents Receiver

SealPath for Protected Documents Recipients is used only by one type of user:

  • User who consumes protected documents: The user who signs up as Protected Documents Recipient can use Microsoft Office to access to protected documents in Word, Excel or PowerPoint formats. To access to protected PDFs, images or plain text he/she needs to download and install SealPath Lite.

 

SealPath for Managed Service Providers [On-Premise]

Recommended for...

Managed Service Providers that want to complement their managed services offering with an innovative document security service. They can offer it to their customers in a bundle with other services and differentiate their offering from other providers. The solution is installed inside the MSP's infraestructure. The MSP will have a customizable "multi-tenant" software, with the posibility of "own brand", and where multiple customer organizations can be registered.

User types in SealPath for Managed Service Providers

SealPath for Managed Service Providers is a "multi-tenant" solution to manage SealPath Enterprise solutions installed in customers. Therefore, there are the same users that in Sealpath Enterprise for each of the registered organizations:

  • Administrator: Manages the Solution through the web control panel of SealPath Enterprise. The administrator provisions users, access to stats, transfer permissions between users. It is also possible to have delegated administrators.
  • Users that protect documents: They are internal users of the company that acquired SealPath Enterprise. They use SealPath Desktop to protect the documents before sharing them.
  • Users that access to the documents: They are internal or external users that access to protected documents through Microsoft Office or SealPath Lite (PDF, images, etc.).

Additionally, there is a SealPath Administrator user for MSPs that has tools to register the client organizations. SealPath can be integrated with the MSP's Control Panel. For MSPs using Parallels platform, SealPath has an APS (Application Packaging Standard) connector which facilitates integration.
